Nice find Jay. I still see a little misschief in Glen's eyes though, that's not present in American Gothic

Re: Kim Campbell's Book - Gentle On My Mind: In Sickness and in Health with Glen Campbell
Hi Mike thanks for sharing your thoughts about the book. I agree with what you say about Kim’s faith. You don’t have to be an Christian to appreciate her side of the story. Re: Mac Davis (78) passed away
Hi Mike, the intro riff which you hear all through the song (daa da da da da. daa da da da) was invented by Steve Lukather. The solo was done by Eddie van Halen. The solo was recorded at the wrong speed which is why it sounds a little off key.

Re: Glen Campbell and Jimmy Webb
Hi MarySue,
I’m sorry I only have the GC performances as released on several dvds. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glen_Campbell_videography for more details. Pan people’s performance was not included on them.

Re: Mac Davis (78) passed away
Hi Mike, interestingly enough... the Beat It INTRO guitar riff, which you then hear all through the song, was played AND made up by a great (studio) musisican who is also a Glen Campbell fan.... Steve Lukather of Toto. Kind of an 80s version of Carol Kaye inventing the iconic intro to Wichita Linema...
