The Original Coon Holler Bar and Dancehall That Glen Campbell Played At
F irst of all...thank you to Polly and Mike Lawson for their graciousness in sharing the historical memories surrounding Coon Holler. Polly Lawson is the daughter to Mr. and Mrs. Coons, who opened and ran the Coon Holler bar and dance floor. Without their willingness to share their recollection and...

Re: GLEN CAMPBELL AT AMERICAN BAR W/ THE PEABODYS
SweetG1 Sadly, I have struck out. Glen played at so many venues. That's all he ever wanted to do. Of course, back then there were umpteen CW bars littering every litttle town and Glen had yet to make a name for himself, so no one really paid much attention to him...until after the Goodtime Hour and ...

Re: GLEN CAMPBELL AT AMERICAN BAR W/ THE PEABODYS
SweetG1 First of all...thank you for taking the time to post this on Glen's forum. I live just south of Amarillo...So I am familiar with Grants...but certainly not with what you mention. Re: Tommy Smothers Passing
Who didn't like Tommy Smothers? Funny guy...very talented. If it were not for the Smothers Brothers, a lot of things would be different. Ovation guitars would have probably been a flash in the pan. The Goodtime Hour was the perfect storm for Glen and his career.

Re: Limited edition ovation 1627
Puffinstuff41! Thanks for the question and I am SOOOOO sorry I am just now getting to it. I decided to redo my office around Thanksgiving and I am now just getting the computers and desk reorganized ....anyway...I love this Ovation stuff and hopefully, we can get some info about your guitar. I have ...

Re: RELATIONS TO GLEN CAMPBELL - Racergirlrq
Racergirlrq! I had to go back through all that thread to piece together why I made the reply. You are exactly right. The reason I posted it was a reply to Cowpokes post above it.... Hi Andrea, I don't think your father was married to one of Glen's sisters. However, one longtime fan suggested (thanks...

Mike!
I always look up when it comes on.
I like it! A Christmas song that isn't.

EVH “‘I need for you to get me a guitar lesson with Glen Campbell.’
Although this information is not new, it is interesting how it has made it to a major publication again.
