I'm thinking that the bottom three are all the same guitar; a blond, 1980ish Gibson ES-335 with an aftermarket open-coil pickup in the bridge position. He still had this at the time of the Country Cribs episode.

I don't remember ever reading or hearing him say anything about ever using sweetened tunings.

IMHO, that would be a pretty persnickity thing for someone as laid back as Glen, to do. He would just grab what ever was at hand and let er rip.

It is hard to say about the initials but I am doubtful that they would have been added after the fact. Glen is shown playing a green Celebrity many years later so he must have had two.

We would love to see a few pics of this gem that has been hidden away for 51 years!

This Bluebird and mine in the previous post are only 2 serial numbers apart; 10049 and 10051.

This would be around the same time frame that the blue Hamer GC 12-string was built also.

I have seen him use that one, or at least one identical to it, into the early 80's.
