Re: Kim Campbell's Book - Gentle On My Mind: In Sickness and in Health with Glen Campbell

Glad you enjoyed the book Cowpoke. I have just received my copy and I am two chapters in. I will post my thoughts when I have read it all. So far though, I think Kim has done a good job.

Glen Campbell's Mosrite Celebrity I, II, III

Fantastic pics jay, I hadn't seen a couple of these shots. Wouldn't it be great to have a book of pictures which each chapter dedicated to each guitar Glen played, including the album covers. It would need an expert like yourself to edit it etc. That would be a great read.

Re: Mac Davis (78) passed away

jay, I am with you and KMFrye54, I think the "beat it" intro is iconic and I respect the ability these guys show on the fretboard, as I did Glen. However I much prefer those players who can produce a melody within the playing which is readily identifiable. I.E. John Williams The Deer hunte...

Re: Mac Davis (78) passed away

Hi Cowpoke, I see your still doing a great job keeping us well informed with all things Glen etc. As does jay and arlw, great to read the posts, I learn something new every time I look in. I have watched a number of Helen and Mac's youtube videos. I had forgotten some of the great songs she sang. It...

Tim Pierce tribute to Glen

I found this while looking at some guitar videos on Youtube. Tim is playing a signed Ovation guitar and in fact worked with Glen in the studio on his last albums.

Happy birthday Glen

Just wanted to remember Glen on his birthday. I hope all his family, friends and fans raise a drink to his memory and even a piece of cake would be nice.
Your legacy lives on, rest in peace Glen.

Re: Director Marty Pasetta on working on "The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour"

That is a great clip jay, thanks for posting. It amazes me that budgets were so tight on a show which was so prime time. I guess they had to set limits, but even still I would have expected a bit of flexibility to do the best job for their product production.

Re: Dennis Lambert & Larry Weiss Talk About Rhinestone Cowboy

Well said cowpoke. I am listening to Re-united today and it is a go to album when I want to just listen to a good solid set of songs. I guess it is harder to find great songs because of the way the industry has changed. The Jimmy Webb's of the world are not able to produce songs for other artists li...

Rest in peace Kenny Rogers

I have just heard the sad news that Kenny Rogers has passed away at the age of 81. I saw Kenny with Glen and Tammy Wynette when they did a joint tour. I have always loved Kenny's music and I know many of you will know that he took the photo for the front of Glen's Southern Nights album. May he rest ...

Re: Announcing Glen Campbell's Newest DVD/CD Releases

Hey Cowpoke, I think you're on the right track here., which is more than can be said for the album covers. I don't know these albums, but that is a good find. Again I take my hat off to you.
