Re: Dennis Lambert & Larry Weiss Talk About Rhinestone Cowboy

Not sure I would agree you there Cowpoke. I thought "Light years" and "still within the sound of my voice" were pretty good. Other albums like "Old home town" and "letter to home" has a number of good tracks but some weak one also. I guess it depends on the ta...

Re: Announcing Glen Campbell's Newest DVD/CD Releases

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ysnRzw11Xgs Hi Cowpoke,One that comes to mind is Collin Raye's album. (This isn't officially called Wichita Lineman but it refers to the lyric of the song). The mistake is confusing the word "line" for rail lines instead of telephone lines. I am reminded of...

Re: Dennis Lambert & Larry Weiss Talk About Rhinestone Cowboy

Nicely done Cowpoke, I never realised that. I agree, I really loved that song too, it was a real standout on the album. I also loved I'm gonna love you. I thought It was a nice touch doing an instrumental version of the song at the end. It was a shame the album didn't make as big an impact as Glen h...

Re: New book: The Wichita Lineman

Hi Cowpoke, I went back to the book and if you go to page 100 and read from there to page 111 that covers the story fairly well, regarding how Jimmy and Glen discussed how the two of them interacted at the time the song was in the process of being recorded and the organ was shipped to Capitol record...

Re: New book: The Wichita Lineman

I thought he had Cowpoke, but I will check that out, as I may be mis- remembering two stories as one. I'll come back to you on that. Stay on the line

Re: Kim Campbells Writes a Book About Glen - "Gentle On My Mind"

Yes it was a shame about some of the hardships that Debby and the family have had to deal with. As regards the music though, I guess this and other fan forums are going to be the best source for tit bits of information. I felt even Jimmy's book "Cake out in the rain" didn't really offer as...

If you're free some night, perhaps we could make an out of hours visit to the Capitol records vaults. I am sure we could unearth at least a dozen tracks. :D

Re: Shannon's Version of "The Moon's a Harsh Mistress"

Yes I can see that Cowpoke. I think it would be great to hear Shannon, sing some of Glen's other ballards as I think his voice has a light touch and he seems to have a good vocal range as well. I must thank you jay for sharing the video as this is one of my very favourite of Glen/Jimmy songs. I thou...

Re: Announcing Glen Campbell's Newest DVD/CD Releases

Hi Cowpoke, sorry I was referring to albums by other artists who call the album Wichita Lineman. Not Glen Campbell albums per se. Sorry for the confusion.
