Roy Clark Passes Away :-(
roy-clark.png Roy Clark passed away today. Like Glen, he worked his tail off to entertain folks with his gift for playing many musical instruments and a voice that spoke to you. Roy learned at an early age how to entertain crowds with some antics and his facial expressions were priceless. He had fa...

Glen Campbell's Ovation Balladeer
T he Ovation Balladeer was the first guitar sold by Ovation in 1966. It was the brainchild of Charles Kaman, who had been working on the development of the guitar since 1965. It was a radical new approach in design and development for an acoustic guitar. I n 1968, Glen was playing a Mosrite Ballade...

Glen Campbell's Ovation Bluebird 6 String Guitar
T he Ovation Bluebird guitars were made exclusively for Glen, by Ovation, around 1980. Some quotes from the Ovation Fan Club: "" There were about 5 or 6 bluebirds made some were six and some were 12. The bodies were the foam, same as the UK2 body, same as the Matrix and applause necks. Th...

Re: Need a Specific Glen Campbell "True Grit" Picture
Well, Darn. I was hoping it would be in one of those groups. I am pretty sure that pic is from the ones taken for the Wichita Lineman album. 5.jpg Either Glen had one set of pictures clothes in the 60's...lol...or Capitol maximized a photo shoot day with Glen. I am presuming that this studio work wa...

Re: Two Different "Ghost on the Canvas" Covers
I was just curious...as at some point when Ghost was released, Ovation re-issued Glen's 1627 as a Limited Edition in celebration of Glen and the release. Surfdog joined in that celebration with Ovation with an ad of their own. I was just wondering if Surfdog changed the album cover when Ovation and ...

Two Different "Ghost on the Canvas" Covers
While researching something else...I noticed what seems to be two different album covers for Ghost! One appears to have an Ovation, the other...possibly a Gibson.
On the back cover, it appears that they only used the back of the Gibson.
