Re: Epiphone Zephyr Deluxe Regent

Hi Jay,
I saw this clip on YT of Chet Atkin's playing what looks like a very similar guitar. I thought it sounded great. Here he is with Jerry Reed. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VNvwxJsGN5Q" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Re: Epiphone Zephyr Deluxe Regent

Jay, that is a fantastic potted history of a great guitar.I assume the way it was personalised by Glen was later removed or am I totally wrong about that.

Re: I'll Be Me

Yes Cowpoke, he does mention Jay Leno. Dee has posted the wording in her post. Unfortunately I can't find the page I read it from. Do you know the page Dee?

Re: I'll Be Me

I am not sure this is the right place to post this but I recall reading from one of the links that Glen and Kim celebrate their 32nd wedding anniversary today.(25th October)
I want to wish them well and hope they get to share some happy memories at least.

Re: I'll Be Me

Hi Dee, Sorry I missed your reply. I think it was further down the screen so I hadn't spotted the post. You are quite right Mrs Columbo. Its actually the picture of Glen that was used on his Basic album. My mistake. I hope I won't be banned from the forum for such a bad error. The photo used on Debb...

Re: The female Glen Campbell

I would start with Ashley. LOL
Good question Cowpoke. I think Linda Ronstadt. She sang such a variety of songs and she had a great voice and she loved Jimmy Webb songs.

Re: Glen's History with Ovation Guitars

Thanks for the tip Jay. I might just do that as I like the playability of this guitar. Previously I hadn't bothered much with steel string guitars as I found they sounded very thin. But this model has good depth. The only problem at the moment is trying to record a song. As I live under the Birmingh...

I just saw this video on YT. Shannon and Ashley at the Summer NAMM Show in Nashville, TN.
I really love the song "Some things I keep". Wonderful stuff.

Re: I'll Be Me

Its great to see the support the film is getting from the press and radio etc. I just hope that the general public will go and see the film. It will be a great way for Glen to bring his career to a close with this and his final single charting. I was reading Glen's biography earlier and I noticed Gl...

Re: Glen Campbell to Receive Lifetime Honor!

That's wonderful news for Glen and his family. Its like many things for Glen, long over due but richly deserved none the less.
