Re: Glen Campbell's Teisco “Monkey Grip” T-60

You know, I'm starting to wonder if that was perhaps Glen's "test-bed" instrument, one where he used an inexpensive basic guitar to try out different configurations and hardware. Chet Atkins had one, a great big Gretsch that had so many different things tried out on it that you'd need an e...

Re: Glen Campbell's Teisco T-60

I had three different Teiscos in the early days- hated all three. I had a solid body two pickup (probably a J5) with their name on it, a "reagent" made by them that tried to copy a Gibson 355 and a strange, non-branded one that looked like someone put a guitar neck on a Hofner violin bass ...

Re: Which Ovation is considered the best?

When you put a bowl-back Ovation up for consideraton as your own instrument, you really need to think about how you plan to use it. For people like myself (short, short-ish arms and stubby fingers) they can be downright tough to get comfortable with, esp when you're sitting down! A few years ago dur...

Re: Wrecking Crew Guitar Picks

I've been to NAMM a couple of times. Every guitar vendor in the hall has pots of picks on the table so you can try out their wares. Different size, shapes, colors, but most with the maker's stamp on 'em. I came home with at least a dozen from each trip. Some from names like Taylor, Fender, and Gibso...

Re: Can anyone tell me about this record?

Hey Arlw- thanks for the information! I guess I won't put it at the top of the "git" list for Glen Campbell albums, but if I do run across one, I'd still probably pick it up for nostalgia's sake.

Happy New Year!

Can anyone tell me about this record?

"The 12 String Guitar of Glen Campbell" was one of two instrumental albums I owned back in the day. I managed to lose both over time, but recently was able to grab an unplayed copy of the other one - "The Astounding 12-string...".. But this one is the one I am curious about. I hv...
