AN OUTSTANDING REVIEW WITH AUDIO!

Hear Glen Campbell Call It 'Quits' With Unreleased, 40-Year-Old Song
Heartbreaking track is featured on the 40th anniversary reissue of icon's 'Rhinestone Cowboy' album

RollingStone
By Stephen L. Betts, March 24, 2015
Opening with crying steel guitar, "Quits," recorded in March 1975, is a tender, aching ballad about the dissolution of a relationship. With Campbell's rich tenor vocals at its center, "Quits" is nothing short of devastating, perhaps even more so in light of the music icon having recorded his final song, the Oscar-nominated and Grammy-winning "I'm Not Gonna Miss You."

That would have been nice, siblis.
I think it will be embossed or textured. I am hoping it will have "40th Anniversary" printed on the album cover.

Dee....They should have went all out & made this a Double Album. Side one could have been the original Album in Full & side two could have been all the extra's!!! They could have made it into a gatefold LP & added extra Lyric sheets & pictures....what do ya think Dee????

Yes, siblis, the album (vinyl) is being re-issued on March 31st! Amazon.com has it listed, and it is also available from other retailers.
It will be 180-gram vinyl, too.
The bonus songs (ex. Quits) will be released digitally and on CD only.

It sounded very good. I think they remastered the tracks. The song is beautiful. Here you can hear a live version done by the composer, Danny O'Keefe.

Glen's version is more polished. Vocally, Glen is in top form. A steelguitar is used rather prominently in Glen's version. It will be interesting to compare Danny's studio version with Glen's version.

The debut of "Quits" from the 40th anniversary CD edition of Rhinestone Cowboy was removed by YouTube sometime today after it was uploaded. They called it "quits" for the viewers.

I hope you were able to listen to this new song before it was taken down.

Please see the posts below for information about this album's new edition and release date.

Thanks!

Dee
