Nice share, thank you siblis!

In response to the reviewer's comment about James Keach not "devoting fuller appreciation in “I’ll Be Me” to Campbell’s complete legacy in popular music," I just don't know how this could have been accomplished without adding significantly more time to the film, which already runs about 118 minutes. I agree that additional background info on GC would have been helpful for viewers not familiar with Glen's career. Furthermore, as a fan, I would loved to have seen more background in the doc about Glen's legacy...particularly his early, formative years (Sandia Mountain Boys, Western Wranglers, The Beach Boys, session footage, Goodtime Hour, Glen's influence on giving exposure to other artists, etc.). I can't wait for the DVD to be released so that we all can discuss it here.

Thoughts anyone about whether or not you thought the doc should have covered more of Glen's legacy, maybe less of ? (the Goodbye Tour? Glen's appearance on Jay Leno?)

When Glen Campbell performed at Seattle’s Paramount Theatre in November 2012, the concert came at the tail end of a lengthy farewell tour after his announcement that he has Alzheimer’s disease.

Campbell, flanked by a band that included three of his children, would occasionally ramble in his comments and grow disoriented. But his singing and the legendary guitar skills that made him an essential, pre-stardom session musician on records by Frank Sinatra, Phil Spector and the Beach Boys were intact.

Holiday Film: Glen Campbell: I’ll Be Me. Finger Memory Versus Alzheimer’s
James Keach’s doc strikes a sad and timely chord.

Article from fredericksburg.com: 2014 was a dazzling year for movies. Remember?

Best documentary? Critics and Hollywood may have already given this to one of their own—the Roger Ebert biography “Life Itself.” Lovely, long and thorough film. And there’s buzz for “Citizenfour,” an “important” but dull behind-the-scenes look at Edward Snowden as NSA-gate broke. But I was more taken with James Keach’s film of singer Glen Campbell’s battle with Alzheimer’s and his last hurrah tour, “Glen Campbell: I’ll Be Me.” Moving, funny and very touching.

These reviews are all wonderful and honest. The Meganblog I thought was especially heart warming. I can understand the feelings very well in that review. It must have been difficult for a lot of people attending the goodbye tour. Many will have fond memories of Glen in his prime and the thought of what they might find on going to these last concerts, must have left many feeling very apprehensive. The same with the film also I would think. Many fans must have felt the regret of losing someone special in their lives in this terrible way. We all feel a little diminished when an important part of life fades away.
