I've seen the Glen, Ronnie Prophet, Jim Stafford one before, fun to watch. I remember Kool and the Gang well. "Celebrate good times come on", and "Yes it's Ladies night, oh what a night" for their disco music. Nice little instrumental on Witchita.
And Sarita, I would say is far from awful, but not jumping out at me either, and yes good to see Glen's songs still covered!

Rhinestone Cowboy cover from a recent Dutch tv show... this is pretty awful in my opinion. :D

But maybe I should be glad Glen's songs are still sung!

I am into Kool and the Gang right now :) and guess what, in 1971 they recorded a great live instrumental version of Wichita Lineman.
How you like it…

Front and Center showcases musical performers and airs on PBS. They taped Glen's Troubadour concert and it's on YouTube.

Hi guys.
here's a new video on our GCF youtube channel. Glen performing the song Arkansas. Not the song he recorded in the sixties but a song written by his keyboard and harmonica player Steve Hardin.

Hope you enjoy it!

Here's Glen with a special version of Blowing in the Wind performed together with his old friends, The Smothers Brothers.

Cowpoke...I just knew you were going to throw that Dylan Jazz session in there. I am sure all the 10's of people that bought it wanted it mentioned. Just so everyone can compare...

I am sure Bob doesn't have this in his playlist.

Well it was at least this version of the song that Glen picked up from Jerry's 1971 When You're Hot You're Hot album.
Glen recorded the song almost the moment it came out. Bob Dylan released it as a b-side to Blowin' in the Wind in August 1963. That same month Glen recorded it as an instrumental for 12 String Guitar! Vol. 2 released under the name The Folkswingers.

In 1964 he recorded it again now as The SideWalk Swingers for the album "Folk Swingin' Harpsichord With 12 String Guitar".

Then in 1966 he recorded a jazz version of it for the Dylan Jazz album, relreased under the moniker Gene Norman Group.

But... it never sounded better than when Glen played Jerry's arrangement of the song. :)
