Thanks Mike! What a beautiful rendition of Phoenix that is. Like Randy says, it's perfection. So that clip is from Glen's first BBC special from 1973? The set looks a little like the one they used for the 1975 series. But Glen does look a little younger here.

Hi Cowpoke,
Yes, "The Kings of Country" is new but they use the Phoenix clip of Glen, from his 1973 An Evening with Glen Campbell BBC special. Its the same clip they used in the "Joy of easy listening programme. The clip is on YT.
I have posted it on the Glen on YT thread.

Blog by a make up artist about Glen and his family...

"Very few clients really get the nuance of what I do as a makeup artist. Fewer yet are so clearly present in the moment as the interaction between subject and artist unfolds in preparation for presenting people in their best light. With Glen Campbell and company, my heart and mind was touched by their courage and use of humor to enjoy life as they know it. The concert performed by Glen and his children left me clapping, stomping and crying. "

Yes Mike, I noticed that too. I never knew that Glen did that first on a Nancy Sinatra record! I wonder if anyone knows how to play the parts where Glen plays solo guitar, in reverse so that we can hear what Glen actually played? Thanks for posting that First Edition song. I love it!

Hi Cowpoke,
I just watched the Nancy Sinatra link and its spooky because I just added a link to Kenny Rogers "Just dropped in" single which has Glen, being played backwards on the song. as does Nancy's track "Sands" I hadn't heard about this before and then two turn up on the same day. WOW.

I agree siblis,
I think at the moment she is trying to promote herself while the new display has been set up at the museum.
I also think to thank Kim for looking after Glen and then saying he shouldn't be in a home is ridiculous.
She doesn't need to thank Kim for looking after Glen, Glen wasn't something that belonged to her like a pet dog.
When they married it was a decision both went into for their own reasons. Love being a big part of it I would think.
Lets not forget Glen and Tanya were together for only a couple of years and they were not good years for either of them.
That was over 30 years ago. I have albums older than that.
