ON THE ELEVENTH DAY OF CAMPBELL, Glen Campbell Forums' SOUNDCLOUD channel provides two historic recordings, both lost recordings from Glen's former "Glen Campbell Show" website.
~ Dee

Learning Good Guitar Pickin' from Glen Campbell - A Special Sound Recording. Learn to play the guitar as taught by Glen himself! This audio lesson presented by Glen was included on a flexi disc with a Hansen House instructional book, "The Glen Campbell Guitar Method", with three chapters: The Pick Guitar, The Classic and Folk Guitar, and The Rhythm Guitar. Authors: Glen Campbell & CHII Music & Books. I believe this book was published twice; the first time in 1971. I uploaded a picture of the disc on SOUNDCLOUD along with the audio track.

Glen Campbell on Dick Clark's American Bandstand (1965) - Glen Campbell is briefly heard talking with "America's oldest teenager," Dick Clark, on an episode of American Bandstand from September 25, 1965. Although not included on this sound bite, Glen performed “Tomorrow Never Comes” on Clark's show.

ON THE TENTH DAY OF CAMPBELL, Glen Campbell Forums' SOUNDCLOUD channel offers two more fun promos!
Enjoy! ~ Dee

Glen Campbell and Friends Promote "The Mason Williams Phonograph Record", a "tongue-in-cheek" promotion from 1968 with Glen, Claudine Longet, Dick Smothers, Tommy Smothers, Noel Harrison, Pat Paulsen, Nancy Sinatra, and Nelson Riddle!

CHER Show Promo with Glen Campbell, a very, very short but hilarious promo with Cher and Glen Campbell that originally aired on December 13, 1975, in advance of Glen's guest appearance on Cher's solo television variety show. Here's the setup since the audio is a little difficult to understand: The announcer starts off with "Cher welcomes...." Then, Cher possibly in character as a doctor or nurse asks Glen "What can I do for you?"

ON THE SIXTH DAY OF CAMPBELL, Glen Campbell Forums brings you “Glen Campbell with the Glen-Aires” and two rare B-side singles. These singles were released on the Ceneco label when Glen was living and working in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1958. The "Glen-Aires" were apparently a local barbershop quartet.

The two recordings are very different from each other; Glen was obviously exploring two or more music styles (including Rockabilly). Now you can explore Glen's early music! ~Dee

(Forums Extra: in 1958, Glen was working with his uncle, Dick Bills and the Sandia Mountain Boys, and KOB radio and TV [in fact it is possible the Ceneco singles were recorded in a KOB studio]; Glen and his first wife, Diane--Debby's Mom--divorced; and Glen formed his own group, "Glen Campbell and The Western Wranglers".)

ON THE FOURTH DAY OF CAMPBELL, Glen Campbell Forums On The Net's SoundCloud channel brings you "Temple De Acero", “True Grit” sung in Spanish by Glen Campbell. This special version was released as a single in 1969 on the CAP latino [Capitol] label with “Hava Nagila” on the B-Side. Shown below is a rare picture sleeve promo ("No Vendible") gifted to me recently by a GC fan and friend; its B-Side track is “Susie? Donde Esta El Parque Infantil?”, translated on the record label as “Where’s the playground Susie” by "J. Webb" and sung by Glen in English ("Cantado en ingles").
