Songwriter Jimmy Webb has Irvine date
From Orange County Register
Feb. 5, 2015 Updated 12:51 p.m.

Jimmy Webb gives some of the best interviews.

This interview is particularly special. Jimmy shares the title of his upcoming memoir, The Cake in the Rain, to be published by St. Martin’s Press, and talks about it briefly. He also has a new album of original songs in the works.

Jimmy Webb discusses writing "Didn't We", his close collaboration/bond with Glen Campbell, a new JW and GC album that didn't happen, and how much he misses his friend, Glen Campbell, now.

I can't comment on the lyrics being changed, but I do know that in a 1990's interview that Jimmy does on an A & E Bio on Glen, Jimmy stated that he wasn't crazy at first when Glen took Don Ho's version of "Galveston" & changed it to a faster tempo, etc....but Jimmy later went on to say that it grew on him & that Glen knew what he was doing because it became such a HUGE hit.

Lyrics. Indeed he did change some. Singing some good ole songs beats same ole songs to me. Sounds much better.
And I'm doing fine at the Witchita , I love that,,, in fact it highlights the song if u ask me.

Thx Mike for that link
