Jimmy Webb's concert held last night at MacArthur Park included, naturally, "MacArthur Park". (See LA Times article below.)
For your reading pleasure, I am posting here the links to a couple of our archived interviews, one from 2014 with Jimmy Webb about the meaning of the song and also an interview with the person who inspired it (2013):

Jimmy Webb discusses famous lyrics in 'MacArthur Park'

Also, just for fun, check out this MacArthur Park cake recipe link that was posted by the JW team on Jimmy's official facebook page yesterday.
(And here you thought you'd never have that recipe again oh no!) :)

Jimmy Webb is returning to MacArthur Park on July 9 to sing 'MacArthur Park'
Los Angeles Times, July 6, 2016

It’s time to whip up another batch of sweet green icing: Songwriter Jimmy Webb will return to Los Angeles for a performance July 9 at MacArthur Park, where he will sing his iconic 1968 ballad “MacArthur Park” in the place that inspired him to write it.

Dee,what a great treat that is. I love the fact that Marty is obviously a big fan of Glen and Jimmy and knows the history of both of them. I especially liked the fact that Marty also played lesser known songs like You might as well smile and a live version of Glen singing Wichita. Well done for posting the link. Made my day.

The Fabulous Jimmy Webb joins Marty in Studio

July 6th: Jimmy Webb on Ireland's national public-service radio's "Marty in the Morning", talks about his friend and collaborator, Glen Campbell, his tribute show to Glen, a visit with Glen two days prior to the recording of this radio program, and much more.

Also, the radio host, Marty Whelan, tweeted this beautiful photo of Glen and Jimmy:

Jimmy Webb's fan forum had been down for a bit and is now back up and revamped on his official site at: http://www.jimmywebb.com/community" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

If you would like to catch a Jimmy Webb tribute show, either "Jimmy Webb - The Glen Campbell Years" in the U.S. or "Still on the Line: The Glen Campbell Years" in Ireland and the U.K., you can check his tour schedule here: http://www.jimmywebb.com/shows/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. Note that not all of Jimmy's concerts are Campbell tributes.

Cookies (and no milk!), Randy!
When you click on the URL link the first time, it works.
When you click on the URL link again, the link is redirected to the Financial Times subscription page!
Thanks again!
It takes a village! :)

Thanks for letting me know, Randy. The Financial Times' link has changed, now I also cannot view it.
I hope that other readers can find it, too, by using a google search. I had wanted to copy and paste an excerpt here on the forums but this journal specifically stated, "no copying and pasting"!

I couldn't get that link to work right Dee. Is this the one here? I did find the article by using search (The life of a song By the time I get to Phoenix) and tried posting the link myself also but it failed, I'm thinking because of "cookies" or something idk.

The Life of a Song: By the Time I Get to Phoenix
The subtle, mournful ballad is one of the most-covered songs of the 20th century
Financial Times
June 17, 2016

A nice follow-up to a recent discussion on Glen Campbell Forums: how the song "Phoenix" originally came to Glen Campbell's attention.
