Okay so four tracks are missing: Teddy bear/ Loving you, Streets of London, This is Sarah's song, Soliloquy from Carousel. Also Stars which leads into Rhinestone Cowboy isn't mentioned, but Rhinestone Cowboy is, so I am not sure if they cut that off.

On Wikipedia only the original release is listed not all rereleases that's why I didn't include them. But these DVDs could of course be at least named in the description of the original video release.

Agreed. The song doctoring is brilliant.
I especially liked: "I'll GLIDE on your touch" instead of "I'll ride on your touch."
The change in verb fits the upsweeping tempo imo.

The two missing songs are: Turn Around, Look at Me & Where's the Playground Susie. Both are on the GCF channel now.

Sorry for the confusion: If You Go Away was a bonus upload--Glen's performance is so beautiful--I don't believe he performed this song regularly in concerts, or did he?

The link you provided identifies these tracks on the 1977 concert DVD released in 2007:
Captured at his peak in 1977, this remarkable live performance from London's Royal Festival Hall finds him (Glen Campbell) in esteemed company, backed by his own crack band and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Amongst the classics delivered are Rhinestone Cowboy and Southern Nights (both US #1 singles), an astonishing Beach Boys medley gleaned from his time as Brian Wilson's tour replacement in 1965 and worldwide smashes By The Time I Get To Phoenix, Wichita Lineman and Galveston. As an added treat, Jimmy Webb (the author of those three songs) joins Campbell on stage to conduct the orchestra. What follows is pure honeyed bliss.

Track Listing 1. Rhinestone Cowboy 2. Dreams Of The Everyday Housewife 3. Where's The Playground, Susie 4. Wichita Lineman 5. Good Vibrations 6. Help Me Rhonda 7. Surfer Girl 8. Surfin' USA 9. Turn Around, Look At Me 10. Try A Little Kindness 11. That's Where The Music Takes Me 12. Classical Gas 13. William Tell Overture 14. Southern Nights 15. By The Time I Get To Phoenix 16. Galveston 17. MacArthur Park 18. God Only Knows 19. Amazing Grace
Please let us know if you reconcile the tracks, Cowpoke. Kelvin has identified an omission that can be added to Glen's discography (and likely some releases listed in the videography section) topic on GCF. Thanks, appreciate your help!

And I forgot thanks for spelling out how Glen song doctored "If you go away". Fascinating subject. Most changes seem to just make the song flow a little bit better. "I'd have been the shadow of your shadow" however is quite a creative change, a really good find, and in my view an improvement to the original "the shadow of your dog".

This appears to be a newer release of the same concert.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Glen-Campbell- ... B000UNVSVW

But going on the duration this is not the complete concert. And the one I posted below did not contain the complete concert either according to one commenter. But maybe a complete version was also released at one point, I don't know.

BTW, thanks for uploading those two HD videos of the missing songs Dee. Awesome!

Good question Dee. I remember those DVD releases of the 1977 concert were budget releases with vague titles like "Glen Campbell in concert". Or perhaps it was only one DVD. I will look into it!

Perhaps it was this one...

For Kelvin and fans of Glen Campbell's live concert with the Philharmonic Orchestra at the Royal Festival Hall, London, England, two tremendous, emotive performances:

WHERE'S THE PLAYGROUND SUSIE - with spoken words (high def)

Bonus! IF YOU GO AWAY (high def)
This song followed "Playground" on the live concert set.

Below are the song's lyrics as written by Rod McKuen. In addition to changing the French phrases to English, of course, Glen also changed other words in this song as noted below. Most interestingly, he also changed the order of McKuen's verses. The words / verse change added by Glen are in green. The words /verse changes are in red. (most changes are in color--logging out of the forums right now due to power/weather issues!)

If You Go Away
Rod McKuen----> Glen Campbell

If you go away on this THE summer day
Then you might as well take the sun away
All the birds that flew in a THE summer sky SKIES
When our love was new and our hearts were high
When the dayS was WERE young and the nightS was WERE long
And the moon stood still for TO the nightbird's song
If you go away
Ne me quitte pas IF YOU GO AWAY
If you go away
Ne me quitte pas

But if you stay I'll make you a day like no day has been or will be again
We'll sail on the sun
We'll ride GLIDE on the rain
We'll talk to the trees
And worship the wind
Then BUT if you go I'll understand
Leave me just enough love to fill up my hand
If you go away
If you go away
Ne me quitte pas IF YOU GO AWAY

If you go away
If you go away as I know you will
You must tell the world to stop turning till-
‘TIL You return again, if you ever do
For what good is love LIFE without loving you
Can I tell you now as you turn to go
I'll be dying slowly 'til your THE next hello
Ne me quitte pas IF YOU GO AWAY
If you go away
If you go away

GLEN MOVED THIS VERSE FROM BELOW TO HERE:
If you go away as I know you must
There'll be nothing left in this world to trust
Just an empty room full of empty space
Like the empty look I see on your face
I'd have been the shadow of your dog SHADOW
If I thought it'd MIGHT have kept me by your side
If you go away
Ne me quitte pas
If you go away
IF YOU GO AWAY

But if you stay I'll make you a night like no night has been or will be again
I'll sail on your smile
I'll ride GLIDE on your touch
I'll talk to your eyes
That I love so much
Then if you go I'll understand I WILL CRY
ALL THE GOOD IS GONE FROM THE WORD GOODBYE
Leave me just enough love to hold up my hand
If you go away
If you go away
Ne me quitte pas
If you PLEASE DON’T go away.

GLEN MOVED THIS VERSE--SEE ABOVE IN GREEN FONT:
If you go away as I know you must
There'll be nothing left in this world to trust
Just an empty room full of empty space
Like the empty look I see on your face
I'd have been the shadow of your dog OF YOUR SHADOW
If I thought it'd have kept me by your side
If you go away
Ne me quitte pas
If you go away
Please, don't go away.

We will find out whether "Turn Around, Look At Me" and "Where's the Playground Susie" appears on newer concert DVDs. Hopefully, Cowpoke can provide the DVD titles/years.

Dee :)

Welcome Kelvin!
Great question.
My D/L from amazon was also missing the two tracks you identified.

Glen Campbell Forums' channel on YouTube has the "Turn Around Look at Me" video/music track (below). It is not high-definition.

Cowpoke, what are the names/years of the DVD releases with the 1977 Live at the Royal Festival Hall London concert (last broadcast by the BBC in the U.K. with the title "An Evening with Glen Campbell and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra")?

Hi Kelvin, very good question! And, thanks for joining us on GCF. You're right, both "Where's the playground Suzie" and "Turn around look at me" were left off the original album. They were first released in 1985 when the Royal Festival Hall concert was released on video.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glen_Camp ... ilharmonic

BTW, beware that there was also a video released which contained only a selection of the concert.

Later the concert was also released on DVD but I haven't bought one so I can't tell for sure if those DVDs have the complete concert including "Playground" and "Turn around". It's worth investigating though.

When the album became available as digital download they sticked to the original tracklist of the vinyl double album. Which is a pity because those two extra songs would have been the perfect bonus tracks.

A few years ago the BBC aired the complete concert again on TV. Some fans recorded it. One could then rip the audio track from the video recording. That is probably the best you are going to get with those two songs.

I will look if I can get you those tracks if you want. Or maybe another forum member has those tracks more readily available? Dee? :)

Hi all you Glen fans out there,
I think Glens 1977 RFH appearance was one of his best and I downloaded the concert onto cd from Amazon. Unfortunately it's not complete and is missing 'Where's the playground Susie' and 'Turn around and look at me' (they may be more). Has anybody got the full set list Glen played that night and are any of the missing songs available on any compilations or downloads? I know he played the Royal Albert Hall as well in 1977 but don't think this was recorded? Thank you for your help in advance and god bless Glen Campbell.
