Did Glen Play With Dan Fogelberg? Who were the "Campbellmen"

Post by jay »

This blurb came up as a historical note for Clovis, NM.
1968: In honor of its 15th anniversary, a local Clovis radio station sponsored a concert at Marshall Auditorium featuring Glen Campbell with the Coachmen and the Campbellmen. Tickets, which were sold through the station as well as at the Village Record Shop, were $3.50 general admission, $4.50 for reserved seating and $2.50 for those willing to sit up high in the balcony.
Marshall Auditorium is a 1400-seat venue, now on the Marshall Middle School campus. It was originally built on the Marshall Jr. High campus. It is still used for events.

There was a band, but it was out of Illinois called the Coachmen, back in the late 60's. Dan would have joined them later.
Heck ZZ Tops first band was named the Coachmen. There were several back then.

And did Glen pull some guys up from Albuquerque to join him and call them the Campbellmen?

Lots of questions...little documentation to do nothing more than speculate.
