Dee....I think my Dad had purchased an 8 Track Recorder/Player at the time & we recorded it right to 8 track, that lasted for a few Months until the tape snapped.

So, siblis, you held up a tape recorder's microphone to your record player's speaker?
Glad you got to hear the albums before you were able to purchase them.
The public library was / is a wonderful thing!

Dee.......I remember taking the "Whichta Lineman" LP out of the Library to record onto either casette or 8-track, I think a few yrs later I was able to catch up & get most of what Glen had out as Christmas & Bithday gifts!!!!

I apologize, siblis. It's just that I have never forgotten your endearing post about A Satisfied Mind. I felt sooooo sorry for you when I read it.
In fact, I almost sent you my Stand-Up Glen. :D :D :D [three chuckles]
How long did it take you to get the "Galveston" album? I hope you didn't have to wait too long for it.

The exception, of course, was "A Satisfied Mind" that sold in the bargain bin at Woolworth's Five & Dime Store, I think. That album might have been a dollar or $1.99. For a long time, I didn't really think that it was Glen Campbell singing on it................................Dee, you had to bring that Album back up...lol Remember that was my first Glen LP when I got good grades in 1970, because my parents could not afford "Gaveston" LP at the time. :(

Yes, siblis, I remember those days! Vinyls for around $3.99!
(Of course, at 50 cents an hour for babysitting, it took me 8 hours to earn enough money to buy one album. lol)

Still, I bought and loved it--then for the country songs and later for Glen's country sound on this album.

Vinyl has always been available to those that wanted it, unfortunetly you had to get them as imports or pay through the nose if you wanted to add them to your collection. Hey Dee, remember when we could pick up a brand new Glen Campbell Vinyl for like $3.99?????
