A little tidbit, on tonight's show Name That Tune hosted by Jane Krakowski with Randy Jackson at piano, Wichita Lineman was featured as a tune to be guessed on the Golden Medley segment. It was song #6, which was passed by Rachael Leigh Cook. Jane mentioned it was by the great Glen Campbell.
Shecky Greene, another legend appearing on many Goodtime Hours passed away. Here's a 4 minute clip of he & Glen from a '70 Goodtime Christmas show

Who didn't like Tommy Smothers? Funny guy...very talented. If it were not for the Smothers Brothers, a lot of things would be different. Ovation guitars would have probably been a flash in the pan. The Goodtime Hour was the perfect storm for Glen and his career.

Although this information is not new, it is interesting how it has made it to a major publication again.
Last performance of the Goodbye tour? Close if it wasn't. He struggled.
The band wore in-ear monitors, while Glen used the old floor monitors.
TJ had a separate channel where he could talk to the band members and I have or use to have that channel for one of the concerts. It is interesting how he handled getting through the setlist when Glen started struggling or was upset with too much bass or the air conditioning. TJ doesn't get the credit he deserves in Glen's career.
Mike...OMG, now I have something to do on snow days.
I used to take my dad's cassette recorder and tape it every week. We only had one tv, so mom and dad had to stay QUIET while it was on. I loved the 1/2 hour break where they all sat around and jammed, especially when Jerry and Glen traded licks and rounded out the end. What a great show.
Just an fyi, on the GTH with Cash etc, he sang Don't Be Cruel, in the concert segment, with John Hartford. The bits with Bob Newhart and Cash segments were great. And of another show with Dionne Warwick & 5th. Dimension doing a melody of all 3 artists hits was great to see. Fun revisiting all these Goodtime Hours again, on Tubi TV.
