Re: Check Out This Link
My first time to see this AFI red carpet interview if I'll Be Me ,with Cal Campbell , so not sure if it's been posted yet before. So very true what he says, about the difference between how good you had to be back when Glen came up vs. now.
Excellent interview:

I think we missed this. A tribute to Glen Campbell on the Crooks and Chase Countdown radio show with David Nail, Tim McGraw and Band Perry...

Here's a good list of 10 of Glen's best songs.

Thanks so much for sharing this article. I am going to post it on my FB page tonight to help get the word out about this project and the power of music as therapy to help people.“People can help,” Dan Cohen says of Music & Memory and its mission. “They can volunteer in a nursing home and help people get set up. Groups can adopt a nursing home. $2500 will provide a nursing home with training and iPods—it will get them going.” Schools can also host iPod drives and facilitate volunteer groups. Cohen reports that there are over a hundred high schools and colleges signed on with Music & Memory, with younger, tech-savvy students organizing iPod playlists for nursing home residents.
“The number one thing is to make sure everyone in the family has their playlists set up, whether or not they’re in the healthcare system.”

And this has to be one of the saddest, a new interview with Kim Campbell.

More and more, it is understood that you can’t tell the story of American popular music without Glen Campbell.

arlw, agreed, that was a well-researched article written by Pamela Yip, and I am impressed that Dallas Morning News had the foresight to post Pamela's article in the business section of the newspaper rather than the "entertainment" section (as many publications do).

Kim and Ashley Campbell seem to be doing a little tour of Texas. Here's an article from the Hourston Chronicle, including an interview with Kim and Ashley.
Note, this is a subscription-only article. However, sometimes you are granted a free access to this article. So, give it a try...

Ashley, who played keyboard and banjo, said that in the early going, she wanted to crawl under her keyboard when her dad made mistakes during performances.
"Then I realized the audience loved him no matter what, and it wasn't my fault, and no one thought it was. If something did go wrong, I just tried to help him get back on track."
That was an important lesson to learn, Kim Campbell said. The family realized early on that they couldn't change Campbell or repair him. Instead, they had to laugh with him and accept him the way he was.
