Nudie's Caddy is a cowboy's dream car

Fun video! Glen Campbell's official "Rhinestone Cowboy" video appears briefly in this story as an example of Mr. Caddy's artistry as a tailor:

Yes Dee, I am not sure why he felt he needed to make those comments. Perhaps he is still bitter in relation to his own Father's conduct and feels Glen's actions in the past were also questionable.
On a positive note, it reminded me of something my two daughters said to me once a few years ago. When they were very young they used to hear me playing Glen on the HiFi when they were in bed and used to enjoy working out which song was playing based on the bass sounds they could hear through the floor. They remember they found it very restful to fall to sleep with that sound drifting through the bedroom in the half dark.

You may want to take this story with a grain of salt. The writer admits in the comments section that the approach he used for writing this article was "creative non-fiction". Personally, I don't support the sensational way he began the article. What do you think?

Hi Randy,
I remember the "Paul wasn't aiming his songs" comment but what a great interview. Thanks for posting it. And boy do I miss interviews like these popping up on google news... Still, it's great to be able to read these articles again. They would make for great discussion of the week topics too!

And thanks for telling about CCC. I never knew about that program. I thought this was very impressive.
During the time of the CCC, enrollees planted nearly 3 billion trees to help reforest America, constructed more than 800 parks nationwide and upgraded most state parks, updated forest fire fighting methods, and built a network of service buildings and public roadways in remote areas.[6]

Pretty sure this was up in the past but I don't remember reading this great interview with Glen...

When I tell Campbell about the indirect way the Westerberg tunes got to him, he makes the connection with an old country joke.

"You know the one about the baby who swallowed the bullet?" he says. "His mama calls the doctor, very upset and asks what to do. The doctor says, 'Give him some castor oil and just don't aim him at anything!' Paul didn't aim those songs at me; that's why they worked."

Additionally, I remember hearing about the CCC camps Glen alludes to when I was a kid. I still recall my Dad calling some old logging looking roads CCC roads when we would go out squirrel hunting. Lol
