It would be wonderful if this was recorded and broadcast or released on DVD. Here's hoping.

Dee, thanks for posting. I believe the link below was pointing to the Henry Rollins article so I changed it.
Wonderful read, Thanks again!

Webb concert, stories honor friend Campbell
Webb has created a tribute to his old musical pal, and he's calling it "Jimmy Webb: The Glen Campbell Years." The one-man -- plus virtual duets, video and audio -- show is something that had been percolating for half a dozen years, Webb notes.

"I would never have done anything like this while Glen was still performing," (Webb) says. "I worked very closely with his family, and they very much wanted me to do this, to keep Glen's name out there. It's very much a work in progress, and we've gotten good reaction to the concept.

Mike, I can't hold a candle to your knowledge of Jimmy Webb.
Profound JW quote you shared here: many people hear, but not everyone listens.
Maybe it's time to analyze another Jimmy Webb/Glen Campbell song on this forum?

Well that really does take the cake doesn't it.
Jimmy said recently that "many people hear,but not everyone listens". Here was of course referring to people who don't think about the lyrics and there deeper meaning. To be fair sometimes as he would freely admit the lyrics can be so obscure it is difficult to really know what message Jimmy is trying to convey unless you know the back story and the inspiration for the song in the first place. Still, sometimes mysteries can be very intriguing. Look at the level of discussion MacArthur Park has created over the years.

Richard Harris never again had the recipe for a hit song

Poor Jimmy Webb. Here is yet another "music critic" or columnist who just doesn't get the meaning of "MacArthur Park" and ((The Cake)).

Flannelgraph pays tribute to Jimmy Webb with covers LP
"Still On The Line"
...this is one of the very rare tribute albums works as both tribute and album. Still on the Line is an infectious celebration of an artist that you know even if you don’t know you know, but it’s also a record that you’ll actually want to listen to repeatedly, catching new details and fresh nuances with each spin.
You can read this article and listen to the album tracks at: http://www.nuvo.net/indianapolis/flanne ... id=3524740" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

What about " All I know" That would probably worry some folks Jimmy came across in his long life.
