Re: Glen Campbell on YouTube and Other Video Sites
In May 1990, Glen Campbell describes what is "new country" at that time--by providing viewers with short demos.
Many thanks to "breautube" on YouTube for uploading and sharing this video with Glen Campbell fans.

Re: Glen Campbell on YouTube and Other Video Sites
You wrote a spot-on description of this performance, Randy.
Glen really hit it out of the park, didn't he?

The South Dakota Symphony concert is truly a blessing for fans as well as for Glen Campbell's legacy.
Perhaps TKO Management will consider re-releasing this concert on DVD/Blu-ray...or maybe not, if TKO will be focusing only on unreleased recordings.
A GC fan shared with me not too long ago that she contacted her local PBS station to ask if this concert could be rebroadcast.
The station rep responded that PBS no longer owns the rights to air the concert again.
I assume the rights are owned solely now by Glen Campbell Enterprises; not sure how these things work but the authorized DVD has GCE's copyright on it.

Re: Glen Campbell on YouTube and Other Video Sites
Indeed Dee, indeed. TJ Kuenster up there with not only great keyboard work, but conducting at the same time. Glen's band , great work, and that orchestra making that song come alive. Jimmy Webb, what a song he wrote there. One of his many greats. And Glen Campbell, flat out pours everything into singing that song, and a great guitar solo, that once again, is right in context with the song. I am so glad you put that up Dee !

In recognition of Jimmy Webb's concert held last night at LA's MacArthur Park, Glen Campbell Forums is honored to bring you Glen Campbell's live version of "MacArthur Park" with a guitar solo that is so hot it could...melt a cake!

Re: Glen Campbell on YouTube and Other Video Sites
A timely video post from Jim Barber, Cowpoke.
The Glen Campbell Goodtime Theatre in Branson was originally built for Glen Campbell in 1994, and it holds many, many special memories for fans who saw Glen, TJ, Debby, Jim Barber, and other artists perform here. The theatre, which had been renamed the Oak Ridge Boys Theatre, is now set for demolition beginning tomorrow, July 5th. The land will be used for construction of a medical clinic.
We posted this link previously with a nice shot of the interior of Glen's theatre: https://www.korteco.com/construction-pr ... me-theatre" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; It was a state-of-the-art theatre for its time.
News of the demolition was reported here: http://www.hometowndailynews.com/2016/0 ... r-tuesday/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
