Yeah Dee, Glen made this song his own. He gave it such a strong driving rhythm, which gives the song so much more energy and toe tapping qualities. Like Galveston he heard it and made it something completely new and fresh.
This was from the Wembley Silk Cut festival as I recall which was broadcast on the BBC. This clip was shown later in the series because so many people contacted the BBC and requested to see more of Glen's performance. That didn't happen with any of the other artists.
Happy Valentine's Day, members and readers!
I put up this video today on YouTube. Hope you enjoy it!
Video description:
"I Love How You Love Me" is a song written by Barry Mann and Larry Kolber. Part of the song's amazing back story is Kolber wrote the lyrics within five minutes -- on a restaurant napkin! Glen Campbell released his beautiful cover in 1982 on OLD HOME TOWN, his thirty-ninth album. Songwriter, singer and record producer Jerry Fuller produced this album for Glen, and Jerry and his wife provided background vocals! The LP included a {{{POWERHOUSE}}} of talent:
Glen Campbell - vocals, acoustic guitar, bagpipes
Kim Darigan - bass guitar, background vocals
Craig Fall - acoustic guitars and electric guitars, background vocals
Steve Hardin - keyboards, harmonica, background vocals
Carl Jackson - acoustic guitar, fiddle, banjo, background vocals (Carl is seen here in this video, too!)
TJ Kuenster - keyboards, synthesizer, background vocals
Steve Turner - drums, background vocals
Larry Muhoberac - keyboards, background vocals
Additional backing vocals - Chris Brosius, Jerry Fuller, Annette Fuller, Joey Scarbury, Joe Benzet, Terry Klein
~~To help put into perspective (imo) the amazing talent for song interpretation and song delivery that the Great Glen Campbell brings to his version of "I Love How You Love Me", check out:

Mike, how about these songs for starters (on the imagined / wished for Beatles album) and can you or anyone else find other Beatles songs on YouTube or elsewhere sung by Glen?
Yes Dee,
There are so many options here. We have seen a duets DVD with the Goodtime hour show clips, but there must be thousands more that could be meshed together to form a special release DVD of popular artists that performed with Glen..
That's a great idea for lost recordings, Mike.
Another group of GC fans were recently chatting about how many Beatles songs Glen sang on his show and on other programs, more lost recordings!, and it would have been so rockin' if Glen had recorded/released a Beatles cover album.
How about a Glen and Cher album with their television network performances?
Any others?
