Cowpoke, Actually I have seen that one but watched it again as it is that good. What a nice guy Carl Jackson is !!!!

Just ran across this and can't thank breautube enough for all these wonderful uploads. This is one of my favorite songs Glen did...

It's a great interview with Carl Jackson, Glen's banjo and guitar player between 1972 and 1984. From 8:37 Carl talks in great detail how he met Glen for the first time and also talks about why he thinks Glen is the best singer the world has ever seen.

He says "Burt Reynolds" alright. The only connection I can think of is "Another Fine Mess" from Burt's movie "The End". That clip looks about from that time (1978).

Yes it might have been even embarrassing for him. In fact in an interview from around 2001 he admitted regretting doing the book. He didn't like the way his cowriter wrore the book, said he used words and sentences he would have never used himself. And, all those intimate questions about the book really embarrassed him.
