Grammy Awards ceremony ignored some great talent in memorial tribute (Your letters)
This link is to an informed letter to the editor regarding the 2016 GRAMMY Awards show memorial and the omission of singer/songwriter P.F. Sloan.

Hi, ar, thank you for posting about Sonny James' passing and sharing the death notice link.
DId Sonny ever appear on the Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour?
Good to hear from you, Shelia. Thanks so much for sharing your husband and his family's connection to James -- and of course the Alabama link!
Sonny James did his home state proud.
Harper Lee...one of the great Alabaman & American authors.
I would be interested in chatting with you offline about her second book and its portrayal of Atticus Finch and the town-at-large. How was this 2015 book received by the South?
It is only February, and--huge understatement--we have lost so many talented artists this year.

and least we not forget he was born and raised in the great state of ALABAMA!!!!!! In a small town at the time of Hackleburg, AL. My husband who was
born & raised in the Shoals area of northwest Al had family that lived across the road from Sonny and his family and when he would visist his aunt &
uncle he would see & talk with Sonny. It is a sad day, he really did have some great true country songs. And another passing here in Alabama of an
artist in the book world Harper Lee. Remember To Kill a Mocking Bird? That was Harper. She was from Monroeville and that is in the southwest
corner of the state
Just couldn't pass on some state trivia!
Take Care

Behind the Grammys' Complicated 'In Memoriam' Situation
"A wave of deaths complicates an already political process as Natalie Cole's family blasts Grammy producers."
A sad sign of the times....

You may be right there jay. Roger Miller had that problem and decided to record his own songs as most said they were too difficult to sing. That didn't do him too much harm . He is still King of the road.
