Actually, Mike and Cowpoke, that quote from Glen in 2005 about Leno was from an article I recently came across. I'm sorry, I should have sourced it. I'll look through RC, the auto bio, for a reference to Leno, too.
Anyway, here is the 2005 source:
5 Questions with Glen Campbell

Below, is the entire question and answer (#5) in which Glen talks about Leno. I also added Q&A #6 since Glen's answer here might be something that fans don't know -- about his home with Billie.
5. How much do you hate the photo that ran in every newspaper in the country at the time of your arrest?
Campbell: Well, that's the way the press is. That's the way the talk shows are. They kick a guy when he's down. They make fun of him. I saw Jay Leno and he was talking about it. I thought Jay was a better friend than that. I wouldn't have done that to him. I wouldn't do that to anyone. They do it because we are in the public eye. I guess it's more interesting. But I thought, I wouldn't do that to anyone.
Now when people see me, they say, "You look much better in person."
I did not know anything that day. I'm totally allergic to alcohol. I don't remember anything about that day, getting arrested, fighting with the police.
6. The TV show "The Surreal Life" is being filmed in your old house on Mulholland Drive in the Hollywood Hills, which is up for sale for $7.5 million. Any secret passages the contestants should know about?
Campbell: I'm sure they know as much about it now as I do. That was a real special place. It's sitting on seven acres. I got it way back around, I don't know, 1892, for about $100,000. Actually I think we paid $92,000 for it. You can see all of the San Fernando Valley. It was beautiful when I lived there in the mid 70s - until my ex-wife ran me out.
Anyway, here is the 2005 source:
