One of the best written blogs , and my personal feelings on the song (I'm not gonna miss you) remains that it should have won the Oscar and was unlucky to fall in a year which in my opinon voters were trying to be "hip" and vote "politically correct". And however , I still congratulate the winner as I have a biased opinion.

Thx , Cowpoke

This column's writer shares his reaction to seeing I'll Be Me and also recalls an interview he had with Glen Campbell back in 1976.

Cowpoke, A young Jon Voight would have been perfect for the role. A lot of people thought it was Glen in midnight Cowboy.

New interview with James Keach who says he would cast Justin Timberlake as Glen in a feature movie about Glen Campbell. Not sure I agree with that! :)

Very interesting and positive review of I'll Be Me written on about.com.
If you're interested [...] in the story of how a family copes with Alzheimer's disease, an accurate depiction of the disease, fantastic musical talent, and the ability to find moments of humor in the midst of darkness, this film's for you.

Oconomowoc, Wisconsin screening at the Oconomowoc Arts Center on June 13, 2015:

A special screening of the film "Glen Campbell, I'll Be Me" will be followed by a discussion, as part of a program called Journey of the Mind presented by several Oconomowoc organizations.
The program will focus on how the community can become more Alzheimer's and dementia friendly. Glen Campbell's film tells a story that is all too familiar to many families. Organizers hope the documentary will reinforce the importance of raising awareness about the disease and finding its cure.

Special screenings continue to much acclaim. Trevor Albert spoke at these screenings.

On Monday May 4th and Tuesday May 5th Wesley Homes hosted screenings of the documentary “Glen Campbell…I’LL BE ME.”
This film changed the viewers. It was notable how different people were before and after the screenings. Many of the attendees didn’t know much about Alzheimer’s disease but left with an appreciation for the great struggle 5.3 million Americans face on a daily basis. Trevor Albert mentioned in every Q&A session that at least one person approaches him after every screening to tell him that a friend or family member has Alzheimer’s disease, but no one else knows about it yet. Albert made it a point to mention that the stigma against this disease needs to be broken and that people need to have open discussions in order to enact change. When asked how Campbell’s family members dealt with his progression so graciously, Albert responded, “They celebrate the joy of life. They find humor in the moment and find joy in the music.”
