This was when Glen was really just starting to hit the big time. His Summer Smothers Brothers Show was still airing. The whole nation wanted to have Glen! Thanks for posting Jay. Great little piece of GC history.

Thanks for posting this great find, jay! What a super honor for Glen to have been the opening artist for this major events center in the Texas panhandle!

When the I40 was cut through Amarillo, downtown Amarillo expreienced a lot of urban renewal. Part of that was the construction of a Civic Center, which still hosts concerts, car shows, hockey and many civic events. I was thumbing through this
