Dee,
You are most welcome. When I started that list, I worked with a pad/pencil and then went to a ball point pen! Visited all the record shops/book stores around here, attended record conventions which are NOW no more, and every time I saw Glen's name as a credit to the recording, I wrote it down! Then I started the research of ALL those people/groups so you see the time was like forever. Thank God for today's technology! Now, I can't even locate a pencil! AND, when I do, it's a mechanical one!!

arlw, thank you so much for taking the time to meticulously update and then share your complete list of Glen Campbell's session work here. It is an amazing history, a list of who's who in the music industry during the sixties, isn't it?
You know what I found ironic about the Wanda Jackson 45, By The Time I Get To Phoenix, with Glen Campbell playing guitar on this session? This recording by Wanda was a "response" to Johnny Rivers' version recorded in 1965--the response being from a woman's point of view to the song's story. Then, of course, Glen recorded this song in 1967, and the rest is history!
Many thanks again, arlw!
Dee

I wanna thank everyone who is pitching in to make up a list of GC's best sessions. Has anyone got any photos of GC, from the 56-65 pre-stardom period?..a cool session photo with a guitar, or a publicity photo from '63 or so?

DEE-FROM MY COLLECTION OF 45'S----TAKING A BREAK!!!

Glen Campbell played on some early 45(s) by Don Glenn on Decca Records, produced by Gary Usher. At least one of these singles (DECCA 32046: Erase Me/Forbidden to Love) was released under the name of Ruffty Craig, probably a pseudonym for Don Glenn. This 45 RPM is from the early 60’s time frame. The record is in mint condition. Decca-32046/L13, 974/973. The vocal is with Instrumental Accompaniment and that person is Glen Campbell. Arranged and Produced by Gary Usher. This song is heard on u-tube and you can hear Glen on vocals and guitar. This is an extremely rare find. This singer Ruffty Craig goes by different names, like Billy Dolton in the UK is Glen Campbell! Nice 45 on Decca Records. Through further research, this 45 on Decca Records was released in 1966. Glen Campbell on guitar-studio session days.

Glen also played on this single "Masked Grandma/"Little Bit of Heaven" (Imperial 66179) by the "California Suns" from 1966. Apparently "Masked Grandma" was supposed to be recorded by Jan & Dean but "Jan's horrendous accident prevented them from doing the song". This 45 is an Audition Record on the Imperial Label and is in great condition. Glen does studio session work on here with the “California Suns.” This is surf type music. Imperial is a division of Liberty Records. This 45 from 1966 is quite rare as it is an AUDITION RECORD and those are even rarer to locate. Comes in the original Imperial Records sleeve too. A great 45 with Glen Campbell on guitar. As of July 2013, this record is 47 years old! I had it on my list to find for over 35 years and never did locate one till last week!

Lonnie Coleman - In November 1967, Glen did a session for Lonnie Coleman, resulting in both sides of this single: “Once Ev'ry Minute/Pennsylvania Pen on Dot Records # 17075. This label is green and says “Not For Sale”-This is also an “Audition Record”. Original recording record and original sleeve. The 45 is in very good condition. Both songs were arranged and conducted by Bill Justis. “Dot Records Inc. is a division of Paramount Pictures Corporation.” (45-17075/MB-22572/MB-22571). Glen Campbell is on both sides of this record. Glen also played on one other record with Lonnie Coleman. That one is called “If Wishes Were Horses” and that is the A Side-also on Dot Records # 17129. –I still have to look for that!

The Blossoms—Challenge Records # 9138, "The Search is Over"/"Big Talking Jim". Recording date at the session is 1/16/62. Glen Campbell is on guitar on both sides. This 45 on the Challenge Label is White-It is a Promotional Copy 45/Not For Sale. Distributed by Warner Brothers Records. 4 Star Sales Companies. “Big Talking Jim” was written by Dave Burgess/”The Search Is Over” was written by Elroy Peace. This Challenge label says “Ultra High Fidelity”-this is a rare find from 1962 with Glen Campbell on here doing studio work. This record as of today is 52 years ago and Glen was only 25 when he recorded this. This is a great find and a promo too! The record is in very good condition considering its age

In September 1966, Glen Campbell did a session resulting in a 45 called "Tiny Bubbles" (flipside: "Hawaii") on Decca 32041, by Ed Kenney. This is the original Decca 45. The record is near mint condition considering its age! Under the credits of Ed Kenney on this 45 of Vocal/Orchestra and Directed by, they list GLENN CAMPBELL with the 2 N’s and he is also listed that way on the flip side. I think this is not only a misprint but a rare find. Glen is on this 1966 recording. Decca Records-Granite Music Corporation. This 1966 release record is housed in the original Decca Sleeve. What makes this even more interesting is that in November of 1966, Glen Campbell not only has these 2 tracks added to his credit, but recorded with Ed Kenney another 4 songs which ended up on an LP called “Ed Kenney’s Hawaii”-also on Decca. That LP was also bought and will be added to the albums when it arrives. The track on this 45 “Hawaii” is from The United Artists Motion Picture, “Hawaii”. Great 45. This record is 47 years old.

By The Time You Get To Phoenix / Wishing Well- #2085 Capitol Records on the original yellow/orange swirl label—Wanda Jackson and the Party Timers-Written by Bill Graham and Jim Webb-Johnny Rivers Music. Produced by Ken Nelson. This 45 is from early to mid-60’s time frame and Glen Campbell is on guitar doing studio session work. Most likely part of “The Wrecking Crew”. The correction of the Jim Webb song is “By The Time I Get To Phoenix.” (45-58857/45-58856.) This Capitol release by Wanda Jackson is housed in the original Capitol sleeve. Another rare original find with Glen Campbell on guitar

Have a Good Time/Have a Good Time– Glenco Productions- BILLY GRAHAM, 1974 release. This is a white 45 rpm that is on the Promotional Capitol Label P-3909. One side is Stereo (S45-90767) and one side is in Mono (PRO-6909). This song is sung by Billy C. Graham in 1974 and the Production Agency is “Glenco Productions.” This Glenco Company belongs to Glen Campbell. Record says Not for Sale and is mastered by Capitol Records. The 45 is in very good condition.

Try To Find Another Man/I Still Love You- The Righteous Brothers- Glen Campbell does studio work on this 45. “Moonglow Records” Distributed by ATCO Record Sales. M-231 (MGL-7689/7688). This Moonglow label is white with black lettering. This recording is arranged and conducted by Jack Nitzsche. The record is in great shape. Time frame wise would be about the early 60’s on this recording. The side Glen Campbell is on is “Try To Find Another Man” The Righteous Brothers wrote that track.

Glen Campbell played studio session work on an album called “The Peanut Butter Conspiracy is Spreading” produced by Gary Usher. It's available on a CD. This recording is brand new and sealed and is a CD format! Contains 2 Classic Albums on one compact disc, plus 3 bonus tracks! This was originally released on Columbia Records # 9454 back in 1967. This release is from 1999 on Sony Music Special Products/Sony Music Entertainment Inc. COL-CD-6096/SONY-A-27366. Collectable Records Corporation. This will remain sealed for value purposes only. This is the only time that Glen appeared with this group doing studio work.

Glen plays lead guitar on this single, the first release by April Stevens and Nino Tempo- “Sweet and Lovely” released on ATCO Records- 6224. Glen Campbell was also present on their big hit "Deep Purple" (soaring to #1 in the fall of 1963). This was released as 2 separate records on ATCO. In order to have BOTH songs that Glen Campbell was on is to obtain a type of re-issue with both tracks on here. Atlantic Oldies Series- Atlantic-Vocal A-6000 SP-From ATCO-6224/ATCO-6273. Manufactured by Atlantic Recoding Company-located in New York.-A Warner Communications Company. The tracks “Deep Purple/Sweet and Lovely” BOTH appear on this 45 with Glen Campbell doing session work. This 45 is in MINT condition. Very rare to locate this because Glen is on BOTH recordings. If you want the Original ATCO label, you will have to buy this 45 twice as both of these tracks weren’t released together and charted at two different times. Great Find!
