Mike, Some rare LP's! From what I have! The list appears to be endless!!! Enjoy! You will be amazed at these albums with Glen on them as I WAS!!

Connie Stevens-“The Hank Williams Song Book”-Warner Brothers #1460-Monophonic High Fidelity. This Mono LP is a 1962 Release that came out either in June or July of 1962. W-1460. This Mono release Record of Connie Stevens has some guitar breaks on several of the tracks that she does, and they appear to be Glen Campbell. No musician credits are on this LP or on the liner notes, but this was Glen Campbell’s studio session days. The style and the manner that the guitar is played sounds just like Glen Campbell! This vinyl is a First Edition Release which makes it a special attribute. Connie Stevens sings the greatest songs of country music’s greatest composer-“The Hank Williams Song Book” The record label is gray in color with black and some white writing and the LP is in excellent condition, considering it’s 51 years old!. The jacket is also almost mint condition. (8685)/-(8686).On the label/jacket they mention “Vitaphonic High Fidelity.” Glen Campbell sang most of these songs on his own in the 50’s through 2013! Glen even released his own Hank Williams Tribute as well. Most of these tracks are written by Hank Williams. This LP comes with the original inner sleeve with pictures of other artists on them. The jacket has a great picture of Connie Stevens, but for a 51 year old record in Mono, this has the sound of Glen Campbell written all over it as far as session work goes. Great and rare find.

TV’s Original Cast-BONANZA –Ponderosa Party Time – 1962 release on RCA Records. LPM-2583. This falls into the category of Lorne Greene. This is an original release and Glen Campbell plays studio guitar on this LP. “Miss Cindy” is on this LP as one of the tracks and Glen is on that one too. That “Miss Cindy” is tied to June 26, 1962 with Dan Blocker, Glen Campbell, Allen Reuss, Billy Strange, Lawrence Wooten, Earl Palmer, and Bobby Bruce on the fiddle plus vocal/chorus. The Producer of this LP is Darol Rice. This LP is 52 years ago and Glen was 25 when he performed on this LP for session work. This was also tied into “The Wrecking Crew” people. The jacket is near MINT condition and the record is in very good condition considering its age. This 1962 Bonanza is very hard to come by and this one is in great shape. Studio session days for Glen Campbell. 1962, Radio Corporation of America/Printed in the U.S.A. The entire cast of Bonanza is on this LP ALONG WITH Glen Campbell on guitar!

Lorne Greene-“THE MAN” – RCA Victor DYNAGROOVE Recording-LPM-3302. This RCA LP was released in 1965. It is the original RCA recording and this one is in MONO with Glen Campbell on guitar. Not only does this LP fall into the category of just Lorne Greene, but it is also “The Wrecking Crew” people. Glen Campbell, Alton Hendrickson, Carol Kaye on Bass, Allan Reuss, Billy Strange, Morty Corb, Earl Palmer, Donald Robertson plus vocals/chorus. The Producer of this LP is Joe Reisman. He also arranged this LP and conducted it as well. The song “The Man” was also released as a 45 back in the year 1964/1965 on the same RCA label and backed with “Pop Goes the Hammer.” This LP contains both of those tracks so no need to buy the 45. Also, “Nine Pound Hammer” is on here and Glen did that on Shindig, same year that this record was released. 1965, Radio Corporation of America/Printed in the U.S.A. Glen was about 27 when this LP was released. The write up on the back was done by Henry Mancini. This is “A Steel-drivin’, Mountain-movin’ Album” The jacket looks brand new! The record is near mint condition for being 49 years old! “The Wrecking Crew” was on thousands of recordings and most of them will probably never be found. I was fortunate to locate these 2 LP’s with Glen Campbell on them. The paperwork I have backs up these records with Glen and will be stored with the LP. Great find

Ed Kenney’s Hawaii –this is an LP from November 1966 with Glen Campbell on here doing session work. Glen did a session resulting in a 45 in September 1966 called “Tiny Bubbles/Hawaii” on Decca Records 32041 by Ed Kenney. This LP contains those 2 singles and another 4 songs, which together with the 2 previous songs ended up on the album, Ed Kenney’s Hawaii-also on Decca Records DL-74877. Decca Records, a Division of MCA, Inc. This LP is Stereophonic and recorded in Hawaii. This is the original Decca Label from 1966 in near mint condition. This is a used copy but in great condition. Glenn Campbell with 2n’s is acknowledged on the back jacket under 2 tracks but Glen is on 4 more songs on this album by Ed Kenney. Original jacket and sleeve houses the LP. USA record but recorded in Hawaii. Some tracks are, The Days Of My Youth, Tiny Bubbles, Hawaii, Aloha OE, and more. Very rare to find from my needed list!

USA record but recorded in Hawaii. Some tracks are The Days Of My Youth, Tiny Bubbles, Hawaii, Aloha OE, and more. This album is a sealed copy and will remain that way for value purposes only. It is identical to the one listed above. A very rare find with Glenn’s name on here with the 2 n’s!

Music To Turn You On”-this was recorded in April 1967. Glen Campbell led a session for Pete Fountain, a clarinet player who played many a solo on. The 5 songs that were recorded (The Eyes Of Love, Casino Royale, Tiger Rag, Somethin' Stupid, Music To Watch Girls By) ended up on this album. (CRL -757496- Coral Records). This recording says that it’s in stereo on the jacket, but the LP says Stereophonic. There are 11 tracks on this Pete Fountain album with Glen Campbell on guitar doing studio session work. This was the tail end of Glen’s studio days. This LP is on the CORAL RECORD label but Coral is a subsidiary of Decca Records, Inc. The record is near mint condition and is housed in the original Coral sleeve. There is no mention of Glen’s name on the record or the jacket but Glen did record this album with Pete Fountain. This is another rare LP.

In November of 1964, Glen Campbell did two sessions for this album: The Virginian- Presenting Randy Boone and Roberta Shore-The Singing Stars of “The Virginian.” This LP is on Decca Records-DL 4619. This LP is a High Fidelity Record and is in mint condition for being 49 years old! Glen does studio guitar work on two tracks on this LP. On this album there are 12 tracks and nice write ups on the back. There is no mentioning of Glen Campbell but he is on this LP from 1964. This is a very rare find. The front cover looks like it’s never been handled or even played and the album appear to be in mint condition as well. (MG-9745/MG-9744). Original Decca Sleeve houses this record in the original jacket too. This LP is listed under Country and Western. This is a very rare and expensive album with Glen Campbell. Took over 35 years to find this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the kind of thing I love too Mike Smith. I always love seeing actors in films and programmes that I recognise from other films when they were not so famous. It must be my Columbo instincts coming out. The trouble with Glen as the others will testify, there is so much history to Glen's recordings so there is so much to delve into.
PS I was really tickled to learn that Carol Kaye who does the bass intro on Wichita also did the original Mission Impossible theme. I have heard it 100s of times and never made that connection. Like Glen you can hear her work on so many themes and classic tracks from that period and yet not many people would know her name.

Hey, Mike,
I missed the Nancy Sinatra posting, so I will check it out. Thanks!
Seeing two examples of this kind of thing posted on the forums on the same day is freaky!
Any "hidden messages" in Nancy's?
Wasn't there a Beatles song that, when played backwards, had a hidden message for fans?
The weather in the States has been very strange and is quite a disaster in some areas. Thank you so much for your concern.
It's going to be a long winter, I think!

Dee,
did you see the link on the Nancy Sinatra item Cowpoke posted. The same thing was done on her record "Sand". As I said, I had never heard of this before and today I see two examples of it. What are the chances of that.

PS I hope the weather has improved for you all in the USA. Incredible news items on the TV.

I was just watching a documentary on Kenny Rogers and it included a story about Kenny Rogers and the First Edition's record " I just dropped in,(to see what condition my condition was in)" It explained that Glen was used on the recording and as Mike Post the producer was rewinding the tape He said it liked the sound of Glen's guitar in rewind so they put it on the record that way. If you listen to the track it is very clear from the start of the record the guitar sound has been reversed. I am not sure what Glen thought of it.
