Here you go--I have this and it's from SWEDEN!

Michael Viner’s INCREDIBLE BONGO BAND: BONGO ROCK – The Story of the Incredible Bongo Band. This CD is imported from SWEDEN on the STRUT Label. The release date is 2001. There are 19 tracks on this CD. It is sealed and will remain that way. STRUTCD017. Manufactured in the E.U. Distributed by 4AM via Pinnacle 01784-249191. Glen Campbell appears on this CD doing studio guitar work on many tracks. Editorial Reviews: Album Description: UK two-on-one combines two albums from the Canadian rock act, 'Bongo Rock' (1973) & 'Return of Incredible Bongo Band' (1974), together on one CD. 2001. The Japanese version (P-vine) is the same version as from STRUT label (UK). Only the price is different! This CD is actually a combined CD and the original release date was back in the 70’s when Glen Campbell played the guitar with this group.

This is interesting. Glen played on the album "Bongo Rock" by the Incredible Bongo Band from 1972. In the following decade this album was to become a cornerstone of hip-hop music, as many of the early hiphop artists used samples from this album.

And now there is a documentary about this album.

Glen and hip-hop, who knew? :D

This is a great website, a lot with interviews with Wrecking Crew studio musicians, like Hal Blaine, Larry Knechtel etc.

On the youtube channel of the Archives of Music Preservation there is an interview with Jimmy Webb. One particular interesting detail that Jimmy mentions here is that The Wrecking Crew was also known, at the time, as "The Four Horsemen". Which coincidentally, was also a song written by Jimmy, about the book Relevations, and recorded by Glen in 1991!

Postcard From Paris-Glen Campbell- This is an imported CD single from the United Kingdom. Advance CD for promotional use only. From Glen’s Forthcoming album “See You There” The Record Company-Surf Dog. This imported CD is a single CD with one track. These are available from overseas only. 2013 release. There is a write up on the back of the jacket that talks about this CD single and Glen’s new release which is due out August 12, 2013. The new release will be in CD and LP format. This is a promotional ADVANCED COPY of “Postcard from Paris.” Great cover art on the front with a nice picture of Glen. Great condition, near mint. I put this with the LP's/CD's, but also have another category for CD singles!

This is an awesome LP for 49 years old!

In November of 1964, Glen Campbell did two sessions for this album: The Virginian- Presenting Randy Boone and Roberta Shore-The Singing Stars of “The Virginian.” This LP is on Decca Records-DL 4619. This LP is a High Fidelity Record and is in mint condition for being 49 years old! Glen does studio guitar work on two tracks on this LP. On this album there are 12 tracks and nice write ups on the back. There is no mentioning of Glen Campbell but he is on this LP from 1964. This is a very rare find. The front cover looks like it’s never been handled or even played and the album appear to be in mint condition as well. (MG-9745/MG-9744). Original Decca Sleeve houses this record in the original jacket too. This LP is listed under Country and Western. This is a very rare and expensive album with Glen Campbell. Took over 38 years to find this, and I am glad I did.

The Virginian by Randy Boone and Roberta Shore-
This is on (Decca Records, DL 4619).

Just found this LP-it is being mailed-Can't wait for the arrival--when you have items on your list for 38 plus years, and are able to cross them off, that is a milestone!

I am honored to have anything and everything that has to do with Glen Campbell. In my opinion, I really think he was the best studio session person around and to this day can still belt out a tune!

For those that didn't know about this one happy hunting. And for others that are keeping track of these studio session material, you are welcome to use my post. If it helps you, then it certainly helps me!

Just checked out the life of Keith Green, enough to fill a chapter in its own right, if Arlw's book is about Glen and those who worked with him in the early years. Yes Arlw, your book would be a lot of work and time but you-know America expects as does the forum. With Cowpoke as co-editor the book make improve the American-European alliance, the possibilities are endless. I be checking for you autograph on Ebay.

You will love this one-from 1962-this 45 is 51 years ago with Glen Campbell on guitar!

The Blossoms--Challenge 9138, "The Search is Over"/"Big Talking Jim".
Recording date at the session is 1/16/62. GC on guitar.

I have see this one and the Keith Green 45 but unless you want to spend 100.00, you will never get them so I passed and will keep looking. Just FYI. They are BOTH rare 45's.

Here is a very rare 45-I never heard of him and he passed away at a very young age but Glen Campbell did session work with this artist back in 1966. Info:

According to the session contracts, in July 1966, Glen played on a session for a 12-year-old singer called Keith Green, who later became well known as a contemporary Christian artist (and who sadly died in a plane crash, 28 years old).

The session resulted in a 45 called "Home Town Girls/You're What's Happening Baby" on Decca 31973, produced by Gary Usher.
