Glen Campbell CD's (Previously Released)
Re: Glen Campbell CD's (Previously Released)
b/w is an old trade term for 45 Singles it means "backed with", in a way it is a bit of a slap, placing attention on the first side and whatever is on the back, "filler'.
Artist like Glen Campbell changed that. "B" Sides became more respectable in the early to late 60's, as artist were taken more seriously.

Re: Glen Campbell CD's (Previously Released)
The Ninety Five 45 Singles I posted are the American Singles. It represents the bulk of his work in that format.
Naturally, I was gleeful to find there is a Bobby Gentry Glen Campbell British Single that has an ultra-rare "B" Side, "Walk Right Back" that isn't on their main album or American Singles, and the ultra-rare 45 Single True Grit sung in Spanish is a product of well, Spain. TEMPLE DE ACERO CANTADO EN ESPANOL.
But for the most part, it is the American 45 Singles that bear themselves out as the songs picked out to prmote each new album release.
You can watch the arc or life of the 45 Single format, usually no more than two songs, two or three singles for each album project untill near the end when the transition from vinyl to CD bottomed out, and the last entries are only promo's.
45 Singles and accompanying Lp's mainly produced by Capitol, and later Atlantic-America, MCA, Universal Records, Capitol and Capitol-Nashville.
The list of 45 Singles Son Of Flintstone sent me is over 9 pages long, with ultra-rare and obscure recordings to hunt down for hungry novice collector's like me, quite an aid, really.
My contribution was to look up and include all the songwriters, as I recall that took around three months, by that time I had manage to purchase all the rare ones, I submitted that list a couple pages back.

"Arkansas"....it is a compilation album, not a studio album: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arkansas_(Glen_Campbell_album" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;).
Okay, Rob, I am bowing out of the previously released GC CDs discussion. Thank you for your tremendous contributions to this topic; you have put so much time and effort into it. Hopefully, we will get back to "Ghost On The Canvas" soon!

All of the other singles released by GC had a- and b-side tracks that were included on albums, right?
I can't speak for The Beach Boys' discography, but I am seeing Brian Wilson later this week!
Is that how the B list goes??? That is a really nice set up! But Arkansas was on the album Arkansas or is that not considered a true album that it made the list?

Re: Glen Campbell CD's (Previously Released)
There is a list of B sides. But is that all of them? It looks like he had many more singles then that. Did some of them just not have a B side or is that an incomplete list? It says he had 113 singles but the list only show 25 B side singles. That wikipedia page is very useful and that is where i look up the majority of Glen's discography. I am truly greatful to the people that update the page! It is so helpful to me and many many other Glen Campbell fans!
The set up is nice on the compilations for the Beach Boys. It lets you know what has new material or not. as it is labeled "(*) Contains a number of previously unreleased recordings; (**) All previously unreleased recordings" As a newer Glen Campbell fan it is hard for me to compare and contrast what has unreleased and alternate material. especially looking at the Capitol Years 65/77 trying to figure out what singles are only on the CD and what songs are unreleased etc. When i look more detailed at the album some of them don't contain much information on them if any. Im sure for alot of people on the forum knows it in the back of their heads about all the albums.

I believe i have seen what your talking about. is it about Glens children?

Re: Glen Campbell CD's (Previously Released)
I guess there is a list of B sides.
