After seeing Stevie Nicks in concert, I thought I would throw this one out there....
Glen covered Nicks ballad on his 40th album Letter to Home. I believe Emmylou Harris was a backing vocal on it.
In 1972, Nicks penned the song, but was being released from her and Buckinghams label and joining Fleetwood Mac about the same time. Several of the songs she wrote during that time were released on her 1981 solo debut, Bella Donna. Nicks states:

“I wanted [Dolly Parton] to do ‘After the Glitter Fades’ ’cause I really thought it would be perfect for her. And it got sent to her, and I don’t think Dolly ever really got it. I think if she’d ever got the song, she would have wanted to do it.”
